We had a wonderful Easter, the boys did great except at church we ended up leaving because Jason and I both found ourselves in the foyer with a boy! But they made up for it at lunch they were perfect we went out to mimi and papa's barn for lunch and had all the family and a 2 other families join us and ended up not getting home until 7:30!!! it was a long fun filled day which included no naps! But they did awesome and didnt fight or whine! Yay for easter 2010!

Beautiful Weather

We have had the prettiest weather this week and we are hoping it is here to stay!!! could we be so lucky? a few weekends ago the whole family loaded up and went to lowes because jason needed to buy something and the rest of us just were dying to get out of the house so off to lowes we go, well right when we walked in the door they had a display of sesame street fruits and vegtable seeds and little gardening stuff...so gunner luke being the elmo fan that he is picked up the pack with elmo on it and held on tight the entire time we were there....well then naturally when one of our kids likes something or gets to hold something the other one has to do the same so kurt picked up the cookie monster packet which just so happened to be watermelon seeds, so we bought the elmo (tomatoes) and cookie monster packets and every day for probably 3 weeks we have had kurt as us if we can please plant his watermelon he is very excited about this!
Well back when we first got married, and lived in AL....i decided that i would plant some tomatoes and pepper and squash, i mean my grandmother did it and this was my first house so i had to have a garden!!! Little did i know that a garden was ALOT of maintence and in AL its really HOT!!! so i did pretty good during the spring and with the spring showers didnt have to water every day, then summer rolled around i decided i didnt want to step foot outside, unless there was a pool nearby! So i never watered my plants, Jason was pretty good about watering them, when he would get home from work, but i had no idea that i was going to have to pick weeds daily, i thought that was the whole purpose of that machine that dug up the grass and the dirt you know what i'm talking about? (yeah we had rented one of those all for this garden too) boy was i wrong, before we knew it our beautiful garden was taken over by weeds, and we never grew one thing, or at least that we were able to see....So like i said that was our first year of being married almost 7 years ago!!! Jason has never let me live that one down, EVER!!! so of course when we get in the car from lowes with watermelon seeds and tomatoe seeds, jason starts picking on me and telling the boys about "mommy not being able to garden" any ways, yesterday we spent the entire day outside doing yard work, i do love to cut the grass and play in the dirt every now and then. But Kurt will not let me touch his garden now, because all of the things jokes jason has made about me not being able to garden. All day yesterday kurt would say "momma we need to wait for daddy to plant my watermelon" so little does jason know he has just created himself some work....our garden wont be very big this year we are going to start small!!! Also, i saw an infomercial for a tomatoe plant that you hang (hanging basket) and you can hang it from one of those garden hooks and its really easy to water and you dont have to worry about weeds!!!(just my style) so i got one and if all goes as planned i should have hundreds of tomatoes, i don't know why i want to grow tomatoes, jason doesnt like them at all and i only like them every now and then. i guess i want them just to say i did and who knows if we grow them we may become big fans!!!

We are back!

I have been MIA for months i just went through and deleted my old blog post and it has been since Gunner Luke was born that i last updated this thing....oops!
I don't know what made me think of blogging again except i feel like i loose track of so much that the boys are doing and i am not the best at keeping up with a baby book, so i will try this route and see if i can do any better!
I can't believe that Kurt will be 4 in July and Gunner Luke will be 2!!! My oh my where has the time gone?!?!?!? we haven't decided for certain if we are done having babies or not, we go back and forth depending on the day! I also have a hard time deciding for sure because i have just now gotten my weight off from having KURT!!! yes that's right Kurt, it took me 4 years!!! well i didn't really give it all i had for the past 4 years but either way it took a while to set my mind to it i guess....either way i haven't decided if i am in a hurry to have to worry with it again.

So lets see what have we been up to for the last year....
Kurt and Gunner Luke try daily to hurt one another, so far we have not had any trips to the emergency room, but i sometimes wonder how in the world not, because they are so rough and tumble with one another!!!

In the last year i have found a new love for photography, i just wish my full time subjects would cooperate a little better!!! i usually have better luck with other peoples kids! my kids are good for action shots and thats about it!

Jason has surprisingly stayed busy with work, even in the construction business we have been blessed to have work, not to say there hasnt been times we have worried and wondered whats to come next or that jason hasnt even applied for other jobs because all of this has happened. But, as always the Lord has blessed us and provided us with what we need and now we have 2 houses going and a remodel and have other work trickling in on occasion...praise be to God!

back to Kurt and Gunner Luke...
they really are sweet boys and we could not be any prouder of either one of them....they just have their moments like all the rest of us.
Kurt is just like his daddy he looks like his daddy, acts like his daddy, he wants to be just like him and so far he is doing a great job at following suit!
Gunner Luke is just as tough as they come, him and Kurt could not be more opposite! Kurt is very shy and quiet and then you have Gunner Luke who is loud and never meets a stranger!!! however, lately as we get closer to 2 he is becoming very attached to me and not quiet as friendly as what he used to be, but all that to say it doesn't take him long to warm up!!! Gunner has the funniest facial expressions he is constantly keeping us laughing!
Kurt loves tractors and his four wheeler and Gunner Luke loves, football and baseball, i believe he may be the athlete in our family.
Well that is all i can think of to write at the moment and nap time is approaching its end so i better go find something to show that i have been productive today before the kids wake up!
